Hi everyone! This is Ayu from Sakura Hostel Asakusa.
Last weekend, I went to Niigata again for football match♪
We lost, but it was really fun as we had a big party with Albirex Niigata supporters as we do every time we match up.
On the next day of the game, they took us to a place called "Kamo Aquarium".
This aquarium was opened in 1930, and about 20 years ago, it was on the edge of closure due to small number of visitors.
However, it revived after they narrowed their focus on one creature.
Yes, it is JELLYFISH!
I had seen such typical type you would also think of, and was so surprised to see so many different types of them this time.
I was so moved in front of the huge glass tank full of beautiful jellyfish!
Now it is known as the biggest jellyfish aquarium in the world.
It's on Guiness World Record too!
It is about 2-hour drive from Niigata station, so it'll be better from accessing from JR Tsuruoka station in Yamagata pref by local bus.
I'm sure you'll be very relaxed in this aquarium!!
