Hi all! This is Ayu from Sakura Hostel Asakusa.
I'm just back from 1 week off to work this week.
Most of Team Sakura members go abroad during holidays, but this time I spent 1 week beck in my hometown.
As I wrote before, my hometown is in Fukuoka prefecture in Kyushu district (southwest part in Japan).
I decided to take this off over last weekend because...
I wanted to go to the opening match for J.League 2016 season!!
The home stadium of my favorite team Sagan Tosu is located right next to JR Tosu station.
(In the photo below, bottom part of it is the station)
I can say it's the closest stadium to the train station in Japan!
From station gate to the stadium, we have to cross a bridge called "Niji no Hashi", which means Rainbow Bridge lol
On match days, the bridge is decorated with flags with Sagan players!
In Japan, J.League usually starts in the beginning of March, but this year it starts 1 week earlier.
So it was still a little cold, but there were so many people who cannot wait for the game!!
It was a derby match vs Avispa Fukuoka, our neighbor team.
They descended to 2nd division at the same time as we promoted to 1st division, so it's been almost 6 years since the last derby!
I was so happy to be in this enthusiasm!!
Regaring the game itself, our two ace strikers scored each in 1st and 2nd half, and we won in 2-1!
Avispa's goal in the 2nd half made the game more exciting, but we're the winner!!
I don't know yet if I can go back to our stadium again this season, but I'm sure I'll visit many other stadiums.
You're always welcome to join this enthusiasm!!
