Hello this is Joe. It's been quite a while since I wrote the blog.
I had a few days off from work so I went on a little trip to Lake Kawaguchiko area where you can see a great view of Mt. Fuji.
Lake kawaguchiko is one of the famous places to visit.
Mt Fuji looks magnificent in the winter because the air is clear.
When I went, the air was crisp and clear and the sky was blue.
Look how amazing the Mt. Fuji looks.
Surrounding montains were beautiful too.
I also went to a shrine nearby the Mt. Fuji called "Asama Shrine".
Did I mention the tempreture was -4℃ on that day? Yes, it was very cold.
When you are in Japan, why not take a trip to Lake Kawaguchiko? You could also soak in an onsen (hot spring) while you are in the area.
Here's the directions;
Take Fujikyu and Keio buses from Shinjuku Sta. (Keio Highway Bus Terminal) to Fuji-Yoshida (110 min), Lake Kawaguchi (110 min) and Lake Yamanaka (120 min).This is the most convenient way to the Kawaguchiko(Lake Kawaguchi) Sta.
== From Tokyo By Train ==
Take the JR Chuo Line from Tokyo or Shinjuku Station to Otsuki (70 minutes by direct limited express or 100 min by local trains with one transfer of trains). At Otsuki, change to Fujikyuko Line. Fuji-Yoshida and Kawaguchikois 50 min. Please note that JR Pass is not valid on the Fujikyuko Line.
