This is KYOKO from Sakura Hostel Asakusa :)
I'd enjoyed my summer holidays for these days and today I'm back to work.
During my holidays, I visited Kyoto for couple of days as my elder sister is living there.
So, today I'd like to introduce you a must-visit place in Kyoto.
Kyoto attracts tourists from all over the world.
I could see lots of tourists in the city.
Among many of attractions, I'm going to show you one of my favorite spot: Uji
From Kyoto to Uji, it takes about 20 minutes taking JR Nara Line.
In Uji city, there is a historical and beautiful temple which is called "Byodoin".
This building is incuses on 10 yen coin. You should check it out!
Could you recognize? I'm holding a 10 yen coin in my hand :9
What I'd like to introduce you most in Uji is this spot!
Nakamura Tokichi Tea Store & Cafe
The store is located only in 1 minute from JR Uji Station.
Actually I didn't know well about this store, but its appearance attracted me very much!
They sell Japanese green tea and offer food and sweets at cafe inside of the store.
Uji city is famous for green tea and matcha, so to have something of green tea is must-do thing in Uji :)
The building had been used as a factory of green tea for many years.
Because of that, you can recognize traces of the factory.
This is the board to check quality of green tea.
What I was surprised is that in the store, there were so many tourists from Taiwan!!
Even more than Japanese customers :O!!
I had a lunch at the cafe after making a cue for 30-40 minutes.
Udon noodle kneaded matcha powder into dough with delicious soup based tasteful broth :)<3
I've never eaten udon made of matcha, but I LOVED IT!!
You should try!!
There are some tables at the terrace where you can enjoy a beautiful Japanese garden.
Please check their official website from here :)
See you next time!
Have a lovely day~~~<3
