Hi there! This is Ayu from Sakura Hostel Asakusa.
This is the Part 5 of blog about my trip to Tohoku Bokujo Farm.
Today I'll introduce you the animals in the farm!
Tohoku Bokujo is known as a good racehorse raising farm with a long history.
Every spring some horses have a baby, and this year as well.
Now the babies got bigger like this!
He is always by his mother, but sometimes the mother started to run all by herself.
It seems she's trying to train him to be independent. Interesting!
One of our group member Mr. Yoshida from SAKURA HOUSE is a big fan of horse racing, and he was so excited to see the horses which has same breed from great horses in the past.
We also experienced the works in the stable block.
Every morning, the staffs take the old hay out and carry the pile of new hay and grasses into each stable.
Those grasses are of course grown inside the huge Tohoku Farm without chemicals, so it's very good for horses!
It was so hard for me to carry the piles of hay, but it was very good experience.
Well, this is all for today.
See you next time ^^
