Hi there! This is Ayu from Sakura Hostel Asakusa.
The other day, I had some time before appointment in Harajuku, so I decided to walk from the next station Omotesando.
''Omotesando'' is originally a name of the street (indicated in the red squrare in the map) constructed as an approach to Meiji Jingu shrine.
Later subway station was opened and named ''Omotesando station''.
The street is now known as a commercial street between Omotesando and Harajuku station.
What is most famous along this street is the commerciial facility ''Omotesando Hills''.
It's about 250 meters wide and occupies 1/4 of the length of Omotesando street.
For those interested in architecture, it is also known to be designed by Tadao Ando, one of the most famous Japanese architect.
This time I went into the building after several year interval.
I was not even sure if it has changed in any way since then, but I like its open ceiling space with lovely llghting <3
There are many shops and restaurants inside the building, but there are also some shops facing the street.
One of the space is used for time-limited shops in turn and now you'll find this shop.
Have you heard about ''DARS''?
It's one of the most popular chocolate brands in Japan.
In this shop, you can get limited version of DARS chocolate with various different tastes.
It's open only until March 15th, so if you're coming to Japan by then, don't miss it!
See you around^^
