Hi there! This is Ayu from Sakura Hostel Asakusa.
Last weekend, I went to Kansai district to see the football game of my favorite team Sagan Tosu.
The game was in Osaka on Saturday, but as I had 3-day off, I departed on Friday and traveled to Nara, which is next to Osaka pref.
It was my first time to travel there!
It is 2-hour travel from Tokyo to Kyoto, and then you have to take JR or Kintetsu Line to Nara.
This time I took JR Nara Line as I stayed at a hotel in front of JR Nara station.
First I visited Todaiji temple.
On the way from the station to the temple, I found a lot of deers!
And of course in the temple too!
In the center of Nara city, where the deers are, you'll also find many street stands selling biscuits for deers (''shika-senbei'' in Japanese).
If you buy it and try to feed them, many deers will gather around you!
The gate in the picture above is the National Treasure ''Nandai-mon'' gate, and was originally built in early 8th century, and was rebuilt in 1199 after the collapse by typhoon.
Next time, I will show you what you can see after you go through this gate!
See you next time :D
