 February 26th (SUN), 2012 Edo-ryu Nagashi Bina
Wishing child's good health, paper dolls are floated to downriver.This is the seasonal event that tells us spring coming.
 March 18th (SUN), 2012 Kinryu no mai and Asakusa Kannon Jigen-e
As a memorial service for the Asakusa Goddess of Kannon, the Golden Dragon Dance is performed in Sensoji Temple. You have a chance to see it three times a day; 11:00, 14:00, and 15:00.
 January 28th (SAT), 2012 Minyo & Shamisen Concert
Minyo & Shamisen Concert is held at 7:00 PM in Sakura Hostel Asakusa. It's FREE ADMISSION event. Just buy ONE DRINK when you enter. There will be various local sake from all over Japan. Come and enjoy the sound of Japanese tradition !!
 February 8th (WED), 2012 Harikuyo-e
It means "Needle Memorial Service". Pricking a soft tofu with the needles, we appreciate for the old needles.It is held all day in Sensoji Temple.
 Jan 1st - Feb 19th, 2012 Fuyu Botan ( Winter peony )
You can enjoy beautiful winter peony in Ueno Toshogu. Botan Park in Ueno Toshogu is open from 9:30 to 16:30. Admission fee is 600 yen.
 February 3rd (FRI), 2012 Ukera no Shinji
By throwing beans against fiends, we pray for a good health. It is held from 15:00 PM in Gojoten-jinja Shrine. It's about 4 minutes walk from Ueno station.
 February 3rd (FRI), 2012 Setsubun-e
People throw beans while shouting "Fuku-wa-uchi, oni- wa-soto!" (Good fortune in, devils out!), to symbolically dispel bad luck and misfortune. This event is held at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM in Sensoji Temple.
 February 19 (SUN), 2012 Shodo Workshop
You have an oppoturnity to experience Shodo. We will give you some suggestions of your name in Kanji. Shodo workshop will be from 18:00 to 19:00. Your Shodo art is going to be a good souvenir from Japan. Please come and join us!!
