Let's have a beer party instead:)

On the night of typhoon, people were trapped inside the hostel
because the wind was incredibly strong.
So, they started beer party in front of the reception.

IMG_1790.JPG

They bought all kinds of beer available at the nearest convenience store
for the sake of comparison.
IMG_1791.JPG

It looked really fun and I wished I could join them....

I thought he is a professional photographer, but he is not.

Last picture?

This morning, many guests were going to Mt Fuji.
So, I told them that the big typhoon was coming and it's not a good idea.
Then, they started to discuss their plan in front of the reception.
They asked me that how big it was or how dengerous if they still went to Mt. Fuji.
lastpicture.jpg

When I took this picture, one of them said "That's gonna be our last picture!"

2007/09/04 09:06

Mt Fuji.

Many people are trying to climb to the top of Mt.Fuji through summer.
They want to see the sunrise from there.
fujifuji.jpg
Shuko, our cleaning staff just climbed to the top last month.
Actually, I did it when I was in high school but no one believes me.
It's not so hard to climb but it's so hard to go down...

The other staff here should try it;p

our guests, especially who comes from cold countries.

Remember Hiroshima...

Hiroshima is known as the first atomic-bombed city in the world.
It was just 62years ago.
Though I don't know much about this story, I believe that
I shouldn't forget about it for the people who died from the atomic-bomb.

At least twice a year, my friends who I met there get together.
They are one of my treasures☆
Everytime I meet them, I come to feel like to go back to S.D.

But now, I'm working in Tokyo.
I wish Tokyo will be a "hometown" for our guests just like me♪

besides New Year and the Obon week. (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2282.html)

You can see some fish made from fabric putting on bars at someone's front doors.
It's called Koinobori ( carp streamers ) and displayed for the health
and future success of their sons.

What about daughters? Don't worry.

We have a lot of guests from Sweden and Finland in this Spring.
I thought they use almost the same language but they are totally different!
They don't understand each other.
It's just like Korean and Japanese.

↑It means “Welcome” in Finnish and Swedish.

2007/04/22 14:37

Missed Sakura?

shibazakura.jpg
Here, you can still see the other kind of Sakura.
This one is called Shiba-Zakura(芝桜) and now, it's in full bloom.

This park, which is called Hitsujiyama-Koen (羊山公園), is located in Chichibu.
It will take 2 hours from our hostel but it's worth visitting for sure.

Yabusame!

Yabusame.jpg
If you are Japan freak, you may had seen this on TV.
They put an arrow in the target with riding horse!
It must be skillful and need a power of concentration.

You know, I tried to take a picture the moment of he shoot the target...
but it was sooo tough!!
He is hiding behind the tree now.

tsuru.jpg
We made origami birds (cranes) this morning.
Mom is working for kids in her country and gonna teach them how to fold it.

Actually, it's been a while since I made origami and I was almost forgetting.
They gave me a good chance to recall it.
Thanks a lot ;)

Let's Hanami Again♪

sakusaku.jpg
I went to the park near my house and see cherry blossom.
Already 80% of them were blossoming (八分咲き) and were of course so beautiful.
They make Japanese people happy and take notice of the coming of spring.

shidarezakura.jpg
This is my favourite Sakura, called Shidare Zakura (枝垂桜).
It is the different kind of Sakura, as you can see the flowers are drooping.
Though this tree is more than 200 years old, still so gorgeous!!
I'm envy her ;)

It's FIVE !!

five.bmp←How much is this?

"Five". We say at least twice a day.
Because this coin doesn't express in figures, it is difficult for our guests to figure out.
It seems that foreigners don't use small coins such as ones and fives
and that's why their purses look heavy all the time.

Some people say that they are pointless, but now you know how much it is,
don't hesitate to use them :)

interview?

sakura2004.JPG
Few weeks ago, one guy visited our hostel and asked for interview with us.
He is a university student and told us that he is researching on the guesthouses.

Actually, most of Japanese don't know much about guesthouses.
On the other hand, it's getting familiar with young people who live in the cities.

I couldn't hear what they talked so, I'm waiting for his reports ;)

Our sakura...

sakura1.jpgsakura2.jpg

We have Sakura trees in front of the gate.
Last week, Tsuyoshi found some buds and told me.
They look so pretty!
We are wondering whether it comes cherry blossomes in this spring.

I'll keep watching...

Do you know CIRQUE DU SOLEIL?

Hinamatsuri~girls festival~

ohinasama.jpg
On the 3rd of March is the Doll's festival, called Hinamatsuri in Japanese.
It is considered as a day for girls, most families with girls celebrate it for
praying their health and happiness.
My parents also celebrate it for me and my sister with dolls and special food every year.

There is an old superstition of dolls.
If you don't put away the dolls as soon as possible after hinamatsuri,
your marrige will be late,,,so scary!

At Sakura Hostel, only girls can have breakfast for free from today to the 3rd.
Sorry, boys ;)

LUNCH TIME!! ~JURAKU~

juraku1.jpg
Here, you can have Japanese meal for a reasonable price.
Naoto had Sara-Udon, a famous local specialty of Nagasaki prefecture, for his lunch today.
You may think japanese food is very expensive but most of meals are around 900yen here.
Juraku restaurant is located 3mins walk from Sakura Hostel.
Why don't you try it instead of fast food?

We are on TV?

cameraman.jpgshooting.jpg
This evening, a cameraman and guy suddenly came to the reception
and asked us strange things.
The guy from Holand said that he was participating in a competion of a tv program.
The contents of his competition is like this.
He needs to survive with no money, no watch for 24 hours in Japan.
Also, he has some tasks that he must do in 24 hours.
For example, make Japanese friends, have dinner with them, go for a drink,
go cinema and find accommodation.
If he can't make it even one thing, he must go back to his country right away.

We had dinner together but I'm not sure whether he could make them all...
I hope he won this game.
How can we know who won this game?

Fire drill.

fire 001.jpgfire 002.jpg
We had a fire drill today.
Four firemen came to teach how to cope with fire.
It was my first time to use a fire extinguisher but it was easy.
What I learned today is that the most important thing is to calm down first
because we have a responsibility for protecting our guests from dangers.

冬の写真 111.jpg

Naoto ( Kuririn is his nickname) is crazy about fighting sports
and practicing Jujutsu himself.
He is such a tough guy that we always depend on him though looks like gentle.

If you are interested in some fighting sports, please try to talk about it with him
or to beat him out with me♪Or just try your grappling techniques☆

P.S.
I'd like to say happy birthday to one of the staff who is working at Sakura house ;)

Buono again♪

maurosan1.jpgrisotto1.jpg

Mauro, one of our guest from Italy, cooked risotto for us.
It was too yummy to stop eating...
He used radicchio for it. Radicchio is a vegetable looks like a small cabbage.

He told us that the secret of the daintiness is the HEART itself.
I totally agree with him ;)
I'm wondering whethermost of Italian guys can cook well like him...

2007/01/22 15:35

From all over the world...

chikyugi1.jpg
We always have a lot of guests from all over the world like US, Asia, and Europe.
Now, we have guests from Trinidad and Tobago and East Timor :)
Today, we got reservations from Israel and Ethiopia.

I saw people talking with pointing at globe at breakfast this morning.

He is not taking a walk with his pet but is doing rabbits hunt.

The right picture was taken at Ameya-Yokocho(アメヤ横丁), which is called Ameyoko.
I felt like I was in a markets in Bangkok, Thailand.
You can get anything what you want at a low price and can do price negotiation ;)
Clerks are very friendly and talk to you casually, so don't hesitate to talk with them!

I recommend you to go there late afternoon because the price is going down.
There are also some museums, parks and zoo around Ueno area.

Wanna see sumo wrestlers?

sumo1.jpg
People say that one of the most powerful fighter is sumo wrestler.
They have 6 tournaments in a year and some tours everywhere in Japan and even abroad.
On January, May and September, Sumo tournament takes place in Tokyo.
It's worth to watching their competition.
The ticket price is from 3,600yen/person. Do you think it's expensive?
The tournament starts at 9am and finishes at 6pm.
You can stay there all the day watching them and eating special lunch box.
Or you can go out to have lunch or go shopping and come back again.
The wrestler is getting stronger as time progressed.

Teacher runs?

It's already December and we only have more 30days left this year.
We japanese call December Shiwasu (師走) in an old way.
Shiwasu means that “too busy to make teachers run”.
We are told that do not run corridors or hall in school by teachers.
But in December, because people have a loooot of things to do in a year,
teachers have to run necessarily.

I've never be busy in December though...

Our lobby is lively all the day today and we enjoyed to see them :)
I hope tomorrow will clear off.

Akasaka Prince Hotel

x-akapri.jpg
This is one of my favourite Chiristmas illuminaton.
When I was working (as a part time job) at Akasaka, I always took a look this hotel.
Staying this hostel is much expensive than Sakura Hostel, but you can enjoy this gorgeous illumination for free :)
To go there, just take Ginza line from Tawaramachi station and get off Akasakamitsuke station.
This area is also famous for night life but not so expensive like Roppongi area
and not so childish like Shibuya area.

providing foreigners from all over the world with accommodation.
More info→http://www.sakura-house.com/
If you are looking for accomodation in Tokyo, Sakura House staff will help you.

We had a party at Korean Restaurant in Shinjuku.
Because I didn't have enough chance to meet staff of Sakura House,
it was good opportunity to know them.
Also, Korean foods there were nice♪

between,,,

hisagodori.jpghanayashikidori1.jpg
Sakura Hostel is between these streets, called Hisago-Dori and Hanayashiki-Dori.
Hisago-Dori (ひさご通り) used to prosper as a road to licensed quarter from Edo period
and now, there are more than 50 shops and restaurants along this street.

Hanayashiki-Dori (花やしき通り) is in front of Hanayashiki Amusement Park and
there are some local restaurants and some mysterious shops.

Please remember these images just in case when you come to our hostel.

2006/11/12 14:49

too early? ~part 2~

tree.jpg
You may see a gorgeous Chiristmas tree when you enter Sakura Hostel.
It has illuminations now though you can't see them in this picture.

The before yesterday, I went to Asakusabashi, which is two stops from Asakusa station,
to buy Santa Claus's costumes.
Because there were many kinds of costumes, it was difficult to dicide which to buy.

We'll wear them in rotation from next month.
I'll upload that picture then.

2006/11/11 14:08

New year's day.

kannnonndou.jpg
On new year's day, we call it OSHOUGATSU, most of Japanese go to
shrine or temple to pray for good luck and our health.
This is called Hatsumoude.

There is Sensouji temple 5mins walk from Sakura Hostel and it is one of the
most popular temple for Hatsumoude.
Every year, they have 1.7 million people on that day!

And also, on new year's eve, we are going to there to ring or hear the bell. (Called Joya no Kane)
If you are lucky person, you may have a chance to ring the bell.
Only 108 people can do it.

2006/11/10 11:35

too early?

shinjuku002.JPG
I love Chiristmas very much.
One of the reason is this picture.
We can see beautiful illuminations all over the town in this season.
Even though I don't like cold winter, I 'm spoiling to walk around.
They make me happy!!

I took this picture at Shinjuku but it's not completed yet.
It will be more gorgeous in a few days.

I'm wondering where to go next...

Cool! Tomoe!!

Noh1.jpg
On Japanese traditional night, Tomoe played Noh.
The last time she played , I couldn't see it well because I needed to stay the front desk.
This time, I had my co-workers and I could watch her play very well.
Her performance drew the audience into her play and song...of course me,too.

If you would like to try to drink MACCHA, japanese powdered green tea, please ask me anytime.
I'm willing to entertain you☆

2006/11/04 14:18

What are you doing?

boss1.jpg
Boss, please take a rest and have a good sleep...

teaceremony1.jpg
Thank you for joining tea ceremony last night!!
I hope you had a good time.

2006/11/03 20:03

Right now...

We are just having Japanese traditional night now!
I finished showing tea ceremony and now, Tomoe is playing Noh play.
This is so cool and we can feel kind of the real japanese soul.

We'll write more detail about this incredible night here later.
See you soon!!

2006/10/31 14:11

Nice Smile :)

egashirasan1.jpg
Now, let me introduce Mr. Egashira, one of our cleaning staff here.
He is very observant of small things.
I heard that he used to stay in the States and speaks English well.

By the way, we have some groups from last week and this week as well.
I like watching the lobby is crowded with guests especially in the morning.
It make cheerful.
I'm looking forward to seeing the next group coming tommorow...

Sizzle

okonomiyaki1.jpg
What do you think is this?

Naoto and I had Okonomiyaki for a lunch today.
I don't know how to explain this food but Naoto calls it "Japanese Pizza".
According to the dictionary, it says like this.
"thin and flat pancake cooked on a hot plate with bits of meat, seafood and chopped cabbages".

This is very popular food in Japan and there are some different styles in each area.
If you go to okonomiyaki restaurant, you can choose
many different kinds of foodstuff from the menu.

Sometaro where we went today has a English menu and staffs are very helpful.
It worth trying it. Very cheap as well.
It is located about 10mins on foot.

2006/10/27 15:59

Check in.

check in.jpg
He just arrived and is checking in now.
Actually, it is his second time to stay our hostel.
So, we said to him "Welcome Back!!".
We almost remember all of the guests' faces and we are very happy to say it.

2006/10/25 12:45

Trick or Treat!

kabocha.jpg
This cute candle is made by Koji, one of our staff, for decolating Sakura Hostel.
Halloween is not so popular event in Japan yet but is getting familier thesedays.

Three years ago, when I was in San Diego, I wore cheerleader's costume
with my friends (some of them are boys!) and walked around downtown.
It was fun though it was really cold day.

2006/10/24 16:12

It's a cold day!

Tokyo had a strong wind and cold rains today.
Because I'm not good at cold whether, I felt blue today.

I hope it will better tomorrow☆☆☆

2006/10/20 12:53

Small world.

peru.jpgmexico.jpg smallworld.jpg
These cute goods are presents from our guests who came from all over the world,
such as Australia, France, Mexico, Spain, etc...
They reminds us of their face whenever we see them.

2006/10/15 14:57

yummy♪

yoshikami1.jpgomuraisu.jpg
Do you know these food?
Tomoe and I had a lunch at Yoshikami, famous western food restaurant, today.
Tomoe orderd "omuraisu", an omlet containing fried rice and
I orderd "katsusando", sandwiches with a pork cutlet.

Because people were waiting outside, we needed to eat them a little bit quickly.
It was good though.
( I actually didn't hurry at all, Yuri eats slowly.... commented by Tomoe)

On the way back to work, we found an ice-cream cone shop...and ate it of course!
We enjoyed our lunch time today.
What is your lunch today?

2006/10/14 16:27

Tokoya-san

higesori.jpgben.jpg
Look at these pictures!
One of my guest tried to shave his beared and trim mustache
at the barber before attending wedding party today.

Though he looked scared before being shaved, he was getting relaxed as you can see from his face.
He was so satisfied with the workmanship and went to wedding party now.

This barbershop is at one minute walk from our hostel and the barber is very friendly.
Only qualified person can shave and trim their beard, so their skill is great.
If you will stay here for a long term, it will be a great experience for you to try it.

2006/10/12 19:16

my favorite place

IMG_0861.JPG
China town is located in Yokohama, one of the most exiciting city in Japan.
I often go to there to eat chinese foods and for shopping.
If you have enough time to spend, why don't you go there.
You can feel not only chinese atomosphere but american one as well
because there is the US navy close to there.
It's worth visiting for sure☆

2006/10/10 13:59

Finally...

sofaandtv.jpg
Hi. I have one thing to tell you our guests who stayed here before.
Some people told us that the tv was placed too high to watch it.
Now, look at this picture! We finally replaced it and looks much confortable than before♪
So if you come back here again, you can enjoy tv with confortable sofa.
Thank you for your advice anyway. (Someone from Spain...)

2006/10/07 17:16

Hanayashiki

hanayashiki1.jpg

There is no place to visit any more in Tokyo?
How about going to this amusement park which is located in front of our hostel?

Hanayashiki, the name of this amusement park, was build in 1853.
It means this is the oldest amusement park in Japan.
You may have kind of good old days memory if you go there.

2006/10/06 16:08

where are you going today?

yuri's blog 005.jpg
As you can see from this picture, we have some guide books
which you can take a look anytime.
Actually, we have much more pamphlets of the other accommodations around Japan as well.
If you have no idea where should go today, you can take a look these books,
check on the internet or ask us.

2006/10/05 15:46

the specialist☆

須賀さん.jpg
Her name is Yaeko, the leader of our clean staff.
She is the specialist of cleaning and even though she doesn't speak English,
she can communicate with foreigners very well.
How? I don't know but she speaks to our guests in Japanese and they reply in English.
It means they are understanding each other somehow...right?

I guess because she has been working in a hotel for a long time, she got this skill by herself.

2006/10/01 16:25

On rainy day...

IMG_1075.JPG
Unfortunately, it was rainy day.
People were watching DVD sitting on the comfortable sofa.

2006/09/29 15:39

You will be the next.

ぶろぐちゃん.jpg
These boards are for guests' pictures.
After we took, guests signed or we painted on them.
People seem enjoy to take a look at them.

You may find your friends here!

2006/09/27 16:23

Super Woman★

koyamasan.jpg

Misae is also one of our staff and working with Satoshi.
They are good partners!

She is always smiling and enjoying her job.
If you miss your mom in your country, speak to her and you'll feel better soon.

Usually, we have two staffs for cleaning everyday but sometime they have no partners.
Even though she is alone, she finishes all her task in time.
She is cute but powerful,too!!

2006/09/26 16:08

busy morning.

yuri's blog 004.jpg
We have 2 groups of the guests from Australia right now.
In the morning, we can see many people are having breakfast from the front desk.

They are young and eat a lot!
I'm happy to see it♪

I hope they would have a lot of good experiences and come back someday here.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

2006/09/23 15:18

Let's cooking♪

yuri's blog 003.jpg
Eating out is one of pleasure for travelers but if you will stay for a long term,
it is better to cook by yourself.
You can save your money and also it's much better for your health.
We have an ideal kitchen for those people.

Anyone can use pans, cooking tools and dishes that we prepare.
Most of seasonings or spices are available.

I like to see someone cooking in our kitchen because I can smell yummy foods
and sometime they give us a little bite!
I'm always ready to taste what you cook☆

2006/09/22 15:04

SUPER MAN!!

yuri's blog.jpg
Let me introduce one of our important staff today.
His name is Satoshi who is taking charge of cleaning our hostel.

He is doing not only cleaning but repairing anything what we ask for.
Also, he speaks English so if you see him in our hostel, please feel free to speak to him♪

Our guests often complimented for the cleanness of our hostel.
Well, next time, I'd like to introduce the other members.

2006/09/20 16:41

Terrace

yuri's blog 001.jpg
Our terrace is opened from 7am to 10 pm.
Looks pretty, doesn't it?
You can smoke, have some tea, read a book, talk with your friend, make friends and take a nap here.
If you feel tire after walking around, please have a seat and take a break.

Summer was over and Autumn is coming.
Autumn in Japan is the best season to travel around because it's not too hot but not cold.
We are always waiting for your smile☆

2006/09/18 20:40

THE NIPPON

IMG_1064.JPG
On 16th, we held a Japanese traditional party as I mentioned the last time.

1. Tea ceremony
I realized that it is very difficult to explain what the tea ceremony was.
Though it takes about more than 40 mins if I do the whole steps of tea ceremony, every movements have
an important meanings.
But for our guests, I just want them to enjoy our traditional culture and have a good time.

2. Noh play
I also had been looking forward to seeing it because it was my first time.
The guests seemed surprised at it because of their distinctive song, action and instruments.
The next time, I want to see it with having a seat, not from the front desk...

3. Shakuhachi performance (and soprano saxophone!)
The rich tones of a shakuhachi make people relax.
Shakuhachi is a kind of flute which is made of banboo.
Mr. Mori can blow not only Shakuhachi but aso Soprano saxphone.

It was a really good night★
Did you miss them? How poor!
We may have diffefrent party again, so don't worry about it.
We are also waiting for your advice.

2006/09/12 14:24

Be Japanized.

On this coming Saturday, we will have a Japanese Traditional Entertainment Night.

You can join a tea ceremony ( I'll do it!), Noh play(my coworker will do this!)
and Shakuhachi performance on this day.

This is the only chance you have to experience three different traditional forms
of entertainment on the same day!

You can't miss this night★

2006/08/30 21:34

SAMBA!!

IMG_1018.JPG
One of the biggest summer festival, Asakusa samba carnival was held on 26th.
Why samba carnival in Asakusa?
In order to make young people back to this area, the autonomy started this event.
You can also join this festival and take part in the dance contest, too.

2006/08/19 15:56

Guest book vol.1

画像.jpg
You gotta write something before you leave.
Anything is OK, like message for the others, your feeling, travel information, opinions, pictures and so on.

If you have a plan to come back here, you can write a message to yourself.
All the staffs are happy to read them whatever it is.

2006/08/15 21:18

A once-in-a-lifetime chance

A month has passed since Sakura Hostel was opened.

I'm so happy because I can meet a lot of people from all over the world everyday.
On the other hand, it is a little bit difficult to say goodbye to the guests when they check out.
It means, our guests are very nice!

By the way, we'll have the samba carnival on 26th at Asakusa.
If you are interested in it, check the website.
http://www.asakusa-samba.jp/

Now, you gotta come!

2006/08/04 11:42

PARTY!

IMG_0928.JPG
Last Saturday, we had a party at the lobby before firework festival.
Many guests and staffs had some beer together and had a good time.
I liketo see our guests make friends at our hostel and talking with big smiles.

If you come here alone, you will have fun with your "new"friend.

2006/07/28 12:03

This is the front desk.

IMG_0912.JPG
Two weeks have passed since we opened the Sakura Hostel.
Though there are some problems to cope with, I think so far so good.

There are variety of guests staying here.
Some guests are going to language school, the others are traveling throughout Tokyo.

Sometimes foreigners know about Japan much more than me and I learn from them.
Since I started working here, I do think I need to study about my country.
How about you? Do you have enough knowledge of your country?

Tomorrow, we have a big firework festival around Asakusa.
We will have a party, so why don't you join us?

2006/07/21 15:35

Tea ceremony

IMG_0915.JPG
Our hostel has Japanese tea set and will entertain our guests.
Because staffs are bigginers, instructor came to teach us the basic of tea ceremony on Saturday.
Some of the guests joined us and enjoyed together.
If you have a plan to stay Sakura Hostel, why dont' you join us?
It will be one of good memories.

2006/07/14 18:42

WELCOME♪

IMG_0913.JPG
Finally, we had the first guest on Wednesday.
Though I wrote that I will show you the front desk on this page last time, I up-loaded this memorial picture here. Sorry about this.
Because a lot of people are cooperating with us, we can welcome the guests today.
I’m always looking forward to seeing somebody’s coming at the front desk.
Who is the next?

2006/07/06 16:23

Have a good night★

IMG_0888.JPG
This is one of the twin room on the top floor.
It is good for couples, good friends and parent&child.
I hope you will be relax and have a good dream here...

Sakura hostel is near completion. I mean, the interior decoration.
I think I can show you our front desk next time.
See you soon!

fortune slip

IMG_0853.JPG

Do you know how to play fortune slip?
We call it OMIKUJI in Japanese.

How to play
①Put money into a coin box (usually it costs \100).
②Shake well and reverse the wooden box which is in front of the drawer.
③Get one tag and remember the number on it.
④Find the drawer which has your number on it. If it is writtten in Kanji, just ask someone around you.
⑤Open the drawer and pick one paper. It will tell you about your fortune in that year. It is written in English, too at Sensouji.
⑥If you think it says bad or unhappy things, you had better to bind the paper to a fence next to the drawer in order to be purified. On the other hand, if you get a good luck, just keep it in your purse. It will be a good souvenir, too.

You got it? Then let's try it!

2006/06/24 18:50

playing hooky?

IMG_0856.JPG

When you visit Asakusa, you will see some groups of students wearing school uniforms.
You may wonder what they are doing.
Skip a class? No, they don't. It's a school trip.

Asakusa is very attractive site not only to foreigners but Japanese, so a lot of students from all over Japan come and look around there.
I think you can find both Japanese traditional culture and teenagers one when you walk the Nakamise street.
Please don't scold them.

2006/06/18 21:23

Jinrikisha

IMG_0835.JPG
On Saturday, I strolled the Asakusa area with my friend.
Though I often go there with my family by car, it was my first time to take a walk the streets.
I felt something strange while walking there.
At the main area, like Nakamise-Dori, I could feel some traditional Japanese life but once I stepped in side roads, I found something the other Asian countries atmosphere.
It’s very interesting.

By the way, I saw a lot of Jinrikisha all over the town.
If you have enough time and money, I recommend you to take it.
Drivers (I’m not sure how are they called in English) are the specialist on Asakusa and entertainment, so you’ll have a good time for sure.

This picture is Jinrikisha of Ebisu-ya, one of the biggest jinrikisha groups. She told me that she is in training now.

2006/06/15 11:17

The rainy season.

Hi. Let me introduce myself a little today.
My name is Yuri.
I'll start to work at Sakura Hostel and am training for it at Sakura Hotel right now.

Everything is new to me but my seniors teach me very kindly.
Next time, I'll put a picture of Asakusa or around Tokyo here.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at Sakura Hostel wishing the rainy season is over by our grand open.

2006/06/08 23:43

It is you to make us happy☆

After looking around from the inside of Sakura hostel, we had a small meeting there.
All of us are considering what we can do for our guests and actually doing something little by little.

I am taking training at Sakura hotel at Jinbo-cho right now and often surprised(and enjoying) at guest's humorous(funny) questions. If you have any question, please ask the staffs without hesitation!
It will make us bright.
