Hagoita Ichi
Do you know " Hagoita （羽子板） " ?
It's a Japanese traditional wooden racket.
It is used when girls play traditional New Year's game " Hanetsuki (羽根つき) ".
Hanetsuki is the badminton-like game.
Hagoita represents to hit back something bad, and also symbolizes health and safety.
There are a lot of beautiful Hagoita in this fair.
Using the finest cotton or washi paper, they are all hand-made.
