KAMIYA BAR in Asakusa
There is a bar in Asakusa, which is the first European style bar in Japan.
It is KAMIYA BAR.
Recently,
it was registered as Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan.
It was built in 1921,
and went through Great Kanto earthquake of 1923 and the war.
This building, which is made of the ferroconcrete, has sixth floor and the basement.
It took Art Deco design such as three long semicircle arch windows.
The most popular cacktail in KAMIYA BAR is " DENKI BRAN ".
It's a brandy based cacktail.
" DENKI " means electricity in English.
It was named, meaning sophisticated sake at the time when electricity was still new.
