Tokyo Sky Tree got No. 1 in the world !!
Although the tragedy fell over Japan, we got an encouraging news in Tokyo.
Tokyo Sky Tree reached 634 meters in height at 1:34 PM on 18th of March !!
It has become the world's tallest freestanding broadcast structure. (ﾟδﾟ*)☆☆
When the earthquake occurred on 11th of March,
the construction was immediately interrupted,
and the workers headed to the ground for safety.
There was neither injured person nor damage in the main body of the tower.
Therefore,
The construction was restarted on 14th of March.
At 9:50 AM on 18th of March,
the work was started that
"Gain Tower" for the antenna installation , which jut out from the main body of the tower,
was lifted up.
Then,
the lightning rod in the top of "Gain Tower" reached 634 meters.
So far, the construction plan not influenced by the earthquake.
It's almost on schedule.
After the interior finishing, it will be completed in this December.
It's scheduled to open next spring.
I think this news really cheers up people in Japan.
I hope the positive news like this will increase more.
