The Japanese names of two giant pandas has been decided on March 9th.

"比力( bi li ) " got "力力( lee lee )" as his Japanese name.
"仙女( xian nu ) " got "真真( shin shin ) as her Japanese name.
40,438 people applied for a chance to give Japanese name to them.
Top 3 names are as follows ;

( 2 ) You you (ユウユウ）
( 3 ) Pan Pan （パンパン）

( 1 ) May May （メイメイ）
( 2 ) Ru-n Ru-n (ルンルン）
( 3 ) Sakura （サクラ）
Beyond these top 3 names,
"Lee Lee （リーリー）" and "Shin Shin （シンシン）" were chosen because of the following images.
"Lee Lee （リーリー）" : Active and Powerful image
"Shin Shin （シンシン）" : Sweet image such as Innocent and Naivete
In addition,
the names of nine pandas in the past were made with the double sound.
They took over the history.
"Lee Lee （リーリー）" and "Shin Shin （シンシン）" arrived in Ueno Zoo on February 21st.
After various inspection and training in a new environment,
they will be open to the public. (the schedule undecided as the zoo is closed for a while because of the earthquake.)
