Oden

Have you seen this Japanese food?

It's Oden.

Oden is a typical Japanese hodgepodge suitable for colder seasons.
Many different foods are boiled together in a large pot with a soup seasoned with soy sauce and dried
bonito flakes.

Here are some popular ingredients for Oden.

・DAIKON (white radish)
・TAMAGO (egg)
・KONNYAKU (devil's tongue)
・SATSUMAAGE (deep-fried ball of fish paste)
・KONBU (kelp)
・CHIKUWA (fishpaste cake)
・JAGAIMO (potato)

You often see Oden in the convenience store when you visit Japan.
It is mostly put in front of the cash register.
