Takara-no-mai (宝の舞)
At Senso-ji Temple, we had a ceremony called Takara-no-mai today.
Children pull together a replica of Takarabune (treasure ship) to celebrate
the blessings of Kannon and children's health.

These are nice pictures of the festival. Wish I could have been there. I am back again in Germany for 1 month now and I miss Tokyo sooo much >_
Is this a Taiko on the picture? Two days ago I went to see a Taiko-concert from a famous japanese group. It was awesome! I hope, I will make it to come to Asakusa again in 2009 (but I have to save more money...).
Hope to see you again some time!
