Irezumi?tatoo?

I went to tatoo studio, which is located in near Yokohama, with our guest yesterday.
She told me that she had wanted to get it for 10 years.
And now her dream came true!!

I'm also interested in tatoo, so it was a really good experience for me.
At first, she looked soooo nervous...actually, almost crying;)
But after she got tatoo, she looks soooo happy :)

He is the tatoo artist, whose name is Horikiku, and he practiced it
to improve his skill by using his legs.
Horikiku is one of the apprentice of Horiyoshi, the legendary tatoo artist.

We are going to have FAQ on our website.
So, we want to know what you want to ask us before staying at our hostel.
For example, "Can you keep my luggage before the check-in time?″or
"Do you accept a credit card?”

We need your help!!
Thank you☆

She stayed at our hostel last month for about a month and moved to an apartment.
We talked about our countries, family and so on.
It was an "girl's talk" and can't tell the details here.

Because I don't know much about her country, I asked her many things.
I still wanna know more about Taiwan, I'll hung out with her again♪

She'll be on our website as a featured guest soon!!

Takara-no-mai (宝の舞)

At Senso-ji Temple, we had a ceremony called Takara-no-mai today.
Children pull together a replica of Takarabune (treasure ship) to celebrate
the blessings of Kannon and children's health.

☆Golden Week★黄金週間☆

koinobori1.jpg
We are in golden week right now.

The Golden Week is a collection of four national holidays within seven days.
In combination with well placed weekends, the Golden Week becomes
one of Japan's three busiest holiday seasons,
besides New Year and the Obon week. (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2282.html)

You can see some fish made from fabric putting on bars at someone's front doors.
It's called Koinobori ( carp streamers ) and displayed for the health
and future success of their sons.

What about daughters? Don't worry.
